2014 Cadillac Cue Software Updates

Many Cadillac vehicles are equipped with a navigation system. Because points of interests, such as restaurants, hotels and gas stations change, the navigation system requires an update from time to time. In addition, roads may change due to closings and new construction. There is no specific navigation update interval; instead, GM periodically issues update discs. When these discs become available, you can purchase them and update your navigation system.

  • It seems like the car makers are having a bit of trouble making their infotainment systems actually usable. Cadillac said it will update its CUE infotainment after admitting to Wired that the system was slow in responding to commands. Step 1

Order the latest Cadillac navigation system update disc. You can purchase the disc from a Cadillac dealer or from GM's online navigation update website. Find a link in Resources.

Step 2

Make sure you have time to update the navigation system. The update takes about three hours. The engine must be running, so make sure you have enough fuel and the vehicle is in a well ventilated area.

2014 Cadillac Cue Software Updates For Windows 7

Start the engine and power on the navigation system. Press the 'Load' button to open the screen, exposing the disc slot. Insert the disc into the slot with the label up.

Step 4

Cadillac's CUE infotainment system will soon receive its first update since launching in 2011. CUE - which stands for Cadillac User Experience - will have new features and some revisions which were designed to correct issues with today's system. Expected later this year, the update will likely solve an issue many users have with CUE.

Wait for the disc to load, and then press the 'Update' button when it appears on the screen.

Enter the authentication code that came with your navigation update disc. Press 'Enter' to begin the update process.

Tip

  • The system will go through three updates: an audio update, a navigation update and a map update. The first two updates should take less than 30 minutes; the last will take approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Warning

  • Don't turn the engine off or touch the buttons during the update. When the process is complete, the disc will eject.

If you are attempting fix fix a DEAD or UNRESPONSIVE Touchscreen, this upgrade will not fix your problem. The CUE touchscreen is a completely different fix.

If you currently have Factory NAV you will need to select the I06 option above (mandatory for Escalade models) or you will lose the Factory NAV all together. When upgrading to the CarPlay/Android Auto System you are changing out your existing NAV module and adding the newer module. Please contact MVI for help in selling your old MyLink NAV System.
