- To pair the controller with your phone, you need to know its bluetooth address. This address will be displayed at the bottom of the ‘Sixaxis Controller’ application on your phone after you have clicked the ‘Start’ button. Once you have this address, you should enter it into the SixaxisPairTool exactly as shown.
PS3 controller is Bluetooth supported, but you have to use the USB cable which you use for charging your PlayStation 3 controller, for connecting it to your PC.
Before connecting up your PS3 Sixaxis controller to your PC you will need to download the driver suitable for your Windows 7 and Windows 8 version.

To proceed you will need to exit the DS3 Tool software and then reload it – this allows the software to detect the controller and forces it to display a different set of options.
With the DS3 Tool you can then activate the analogue thumbsticks and Dualshock by selecting your device under Connected game controller(s) and choosing the Analog Gamepad 2 option.
Adjust the Left Motor and Right Motor sliders for Dualshock and then click on Enable to complete the configuration of your PlayStation 3 Sixaxis controller in Windows 7!
