Description
EchoHam allows Amateur Radio operators to use the Echolink network from their Mac. You must be a licensed Amateur Radio operator to use this software. Download EchoLink 1.5.10. Connect with radio stations all over the world. EchoLink® software allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology. The program allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communications capabilities.
EchoHam allows Amateur Radio operators to use the Echolink network from their iMac. You must be a licensed Amateur Radio operator to use this software.
If you are new to the EchoLink system, after running EchoHam for the first time, please go to www.echolink.org/validation to validate your call sign.

This app has a lot to be desired. For example, on windows there's an option called tools. On Mac, we do not have this option. As a result, we miss out on a lot of key benefits and features that Windows has that Mac does not.
While I find this a great piece of software, I do believe that there is a lot more to be desired. Mac operators of echo link need the same things as windows operators. Especially when we Mac operators wish to create a Symplex node or repeater node. SYSOP.
Because we are on Mac, we do not receive this benefit of the tools menu. I find this to be a major drawback from the application and an overall pain. I should not have to install a virtual machine on my Mac just to run the application. I'm a Mac user, not a Windows user.
Over all, it is an app that has a lot more to be desired, however noting as far as it has come, I must congratulate the developers of this application. I just pray that as an amateur radio operator, they will take my advice. We Mac users need a tools menu.

Excited to see an update, but needs more work/testing
Like other reviewers, EchoHam crashes or hangs when trying to connect on my mid-2012 MBP running Mountain Lion. I'm able to login and get a list of stations, but can't go any further with this version. I also have the old EchoMac installed on this machine and am able to login and connect to stations/conferences, so I know the problem lies with EchoHam and not my machine or router configuration.
Thanks to Erwin for taking on this project and I look forward to the next release.
Install Echolink
Almost okay, but a lot of potential
Aside from the fact that EchoMac doesn't (currently) support OS X Yosemite, it’s an almost okay program. It meets the essential requirements for an EchoLink client; however, it lacks certain features that regular users would consider pretty important. The most glaring omission is the ability to bookmark or identify favorite nodes and conferences. Why this feature hasn’t been added puzzles me. Somewhat less obvious is the ability to connect through EchoLink proxy servers. I tend to use EchoLink in places where I don’t have control over the router, so port forwarding isn’t the most convenient solution. More often than not, I boot a virtual machine and run the EchoLink client for Windows instead of EchoMac. Nonetheless, I would prefer to use a native OS X client and I believe EchoMac could be that client if it received a few tweaks. —AE7SL

They don’t reconize the Italian Licenze
I’m a Italian OM with regular licenze.
I tried so many times to get the password from them but within result.
